The Company envisages the age old Indian ideology of “Vasudhaivkutumbakam – the whole world is a family.” The belief in this ideology, makes us responsible for the betterment of the world, while taking care of the ecosystem.
Mission of the founders of the Company is to ensure the outreach of healthcare to all the people in the world. Initially the company looks to cater the unmet needs of the Indian masses and the people at the bottom of the pyramid and gradually increase the outreach to be global.
Cutting Edge Medical Devices Private Limited is a med – tech startup spin off, from the very fertile and conducive Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. The Company is a start-up by technocrats from various fields and IIT Delhi Alumni. The Company has its registered Head Office at Indore and presently has won an Incubation Residency at the Biotechnology Business Incubation Facility, nurtured by the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer – FITT at IIT Delhi.
The sole purpose of the existence of the company is to innovate and develop “Cutting Edge” medical devices for the masses. The founders of the company believe that the technology should be simple and "NOT" complex, so that it is in the reach of all the people of the world irrespective of economic status or nationality.
The Company strongly believes and supports the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Make in India Movement.” It is very vital that the country understands its strength in 'Manufacturing' and selling it to the world. Medical Devices are one of the major areas where the nation spends a lot for imports. This valuable foreign currency could be saved and hence earned if we can “Make in India.”
With all these mixed feelings and an urge for a social commitment the Company, Cutting Edge Medical Devices Pvt. Ltd., was incorporated. The Company started off from Indore and along its path as and as new innovations sprouted, so came the generous support of the BIRAC – Biotechnology Industrial Research Assistance Council, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The support is to develop a point of care mass healthcare device –Scintilla.
